About us

We are Dirk and Louise, the new owners of MINGO. For years, we ran a shop selling second-hand furniture and home accessories, and along the way, we also launched Across the Street, an outlet store for sustainable clothing brands. Sustainability is in our DNA.

As parents of three children and loyal MINGO customers, the brand has always had a special place in our hearts: our kids wear it every day. So when the opportunity came to take over MINGO, it immediately felt like the right move. The original founder built a beautiful foundation, and we’re continuing that journey with a fresh perspective, new ideas, and sometimes bold, out-of-the-box choices.

We believe in trying, adapting, and moving forward. Things don’t have to be perfect or done by the book. We do things our own way, with care, a sense of style, and always with children and the world of tomorrow in mind.
